We look forward to our Group Therapy program returning in 2021, once COVID restrictions ease. Register your interests with us if you would like us to keep you updated.
THERAPY groups consist of 6-10 people meeting on a weekly basis over a few months. Participants share aspects of their life that they are wanting to address. Group members provide feedback to one another by expressing their feelings about what someone says or does in group. People can try out new behaviours in a safe environment that they can then try out in their other relationships.

What if I feel anxious about groups?
It’s normal to feel anxious about participating in groups. You are in control of how much and when you share with the group. Like anything new, it takes time to adjust to group therapy. Like anything worthwhile, the struggle is part of the journey. Single session WORKSHOPS might be a good place to start, if you’ve never done group treatment before.

What would I get out of group treatment?
Knowledge: Useful information is shared in group treatment.
Support: You discover that you are not alone. It is nice to talk to others who are going through similar things.
Problem solving: You can hear what others have tried and what has worked for them, and what has not. You are able to offer the other members feedback based on your experiences as well.
Awareness: You’ll get the opportunity to receive feedback from others in a supportive and caring environment and discover more about yourself.
