Chanelle is currently completing a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours). She was recently awarded the New Colombo Plan Scholarship, which enabled her to participate in a short term study tour in the Philippines. With a focus on women’s health and rights, the culturally immersive experience provided her with insight into the diverse experiences of women in the Indo-Pacific region. She also completed a placement in Child Protection with the DFFH during her studies, promoting her understanding of the importance of empathy and resilience in helping children and their families. 

As a young Samoan, Chanelle integrates her value of culture with her passion for mental health, and hopes to contribute to a world of culturally appropriate healthcare and awareness through her volunteer work with headspace and as a youth leader.

Chanelle strives to learn and grow with every step in her journey at SALTIE, dedicated to offering compassionate and reliable support that uplifts and empowers those she assists.
