Lara is a clinical psychologist with experience supporting young people and adults in their mental health recovery. She has worked across the public and private sectors, including inpatient (hospital) settings. Additionally, Lara has worked in community based youth mental health services.

Lara has worked with high acuity and complex presentations. This includes helping patients experiencing severe psychosocial disability and behaviours of concern. She has a particular interest in personality vulnerabilities, trauma, psychosis and mood disorders. Lara works with young people and adults.

A love of teaching is embedded in Lara’s provision of supervision and training. She has helped develop new and established professionals from multidisciplinary backgrounds in a variety of settings. Lara has contributed to complex care teams and developed innovative support approaches, individualised to the needs of each client.

With a warm and reflective approach to her work, Lara believes that a safe and strong therapeutic relationship is key. Quality of life is central to her approach, as is honesty and authenticity.
