For over 17 years, Simon has counselled people experiencing a variety of life and mental health challenges in his clinical practice. Every client is regarded by him as unique and is listened to with the greatest care. Simon believes that people are the experts in their own lives but, when they find themselves battered and bruised by life, sometimes it can be hard to see the solutions. The therapeutic relationship developed between Simon and his clients is the catalyst for new hope, growth and change.
Forensically trained, Simon has extensive experience assessing and treating offending behaviour in clients with multiple and complex needs. Simon utilizes a strength-based and holistic approach to engaging and helping people experiencing intellectual or developmental disabilities, both in the clinic and in institutional settings. Every person is treated with dignity and is supported to live their best life.
In providing clinical supervision, Simon creates a supportive and reflective space in which the challenges of client-work can be explored. With a rich supervisory history to draw on, supervisee’s can be confident that their growth as a professional is in good hands.
