How are evaluations made?
SALTIE adopts a client centred approach. This means your assessment is likely to involve a face-to-face meeting. During an assessment, your psychologist may use different ways to collect and interpret information.
Interview
Most interviews have both structured and unstructured elements. In other words, you may be asked questions with a definite answer and more exploratory queries.
Observation
A psychologist gains valuable information by observing body language and how clients interact with others.
Testing
Testing tools may be used to make assessments. At SALTIE, we use an extensive library of psychometric tools to inform our work. Much testing can now be done using Tablets and interactive technology.
